The baseframe was delivered at 7 am. It took a while to get it off the truck and in the building; the forklift was late and it was raining heavily for most of the morning. It was a tight squeeze getting it around the maze wall and into the room.
The baseframe was aligned to the existing room lasers, ensuring that the original room isocenter is maintained. Anchors were then shot into the concrete to prevent horizontal movement, and jacking bolts were used to set height and level. Tomorrow it will be grouted in with concrete.
The breaker panel and machine conduits are installed in the console wall. the new breaker panel is much larger than the old one, but it handles power for the KV and MV imagers as well as the linac.
The support wall for the new console island has been framed. The short section in the forefront of the picture is thicker and goes all the way to the ceiling, providing conduit access for power and data cabling.
GOOD WORK
